Are web search engines good or bad?
Web search engines are designed to find a data on the World Wide Web. They help us find information very easily. In spite of that, there are identified problems that web search engines cause.
There are four benefits in using web search engines. Firstly, they help in education. For example, you can learn many languages in many websites and when you don’t want to waste time going through a lot of unrelated websites, you can search the website that you need using web search engines . Secondly, they help tourism. For instance, when you without having to travel, you can search particular websites and reserve air ticket, hotel and package tour go personally to many different ticketing outlets. Finally, they help a public relations to many people .it is very fast more than newspaper.
Despite the many benefits of web search engines, they also have disadvantages. First, they take us to some of the websites that have pornographic contents that aren’t appropriate for the general users. Second, sometimes they take us to unreliable website that provides unreliable news. We can’t guarantee that the information is right because we didn’t know who wrote them and where they come from. Finally, they can also take us to some websites which have virus in their severs, causing our computer program to crash.
In conclusion, web search engines have benefits and problems but I believe that there are more benefits that are important in my everyday life that’s why I can’t imagine life without them.
